Common Faults and Troubleshooting Methods for Fire Protection Infrared Beam Smoke Detectors
1. The infrared beam smoke detector cannot be successfully debugged because the installation distance between it and the reflector is too close.
Fault phenomenon: The infrared beam detector and the reflector are installed too close (about 10 meters), and it is impossible to successfully debug them.
Solution: Since the distance is too close, the light reflected back from the reflector is too strong. The infrared sensor can be adjusted to direct the light spot outside the reflector, thus reducing the intensity of the reflected light.
2. The infrared beam smoke detector was not registered and put into operation.
Fault symptom: The infrared beam smoke detector is not registered for online operation.
Solution:
1. Check if the infrared beam smoke detector is wired correctly.
2. Check if the infrared beam smoke detector encoding is correct.
3. Check if the terminal resistor set on the DIP switch is correct.
4. Check if the infrared beam smoke detector position has shifted.
5. Check if the infrared beam smoke detector itself is faulty.
6. Check if there are any obstructions between the detector and the reflector.
3. The infrared beam smoke detector falsely reports fire alarm.
Fault phenomenon: The infrared beam smoke detector falsely reports a fire alarm.
Solution:
1. Check if the infrared beam smoke detector is more than 0.5m from the top.
2. Check if the infrared beam smoke detector is partially blocked.
4. The infrared beam smoke detector reports a smoke detection failure fault.
Fault phenomenon: JBF4382 detector reports smoke detection failure.
Solution:
1. Check if the 24V cable is connected properly.
2. Is the optical path blocked?
3. Did the system fail to reach its optimal state during debugging and save the changes, indicating a debugging error?
5. The infrared beam smoke detector fails to encode when encoding is not retained.
Fault phenomenon: The infrared beam smoke detector is set to non-holding type by encoding 206, and the encoder fails to encode after encoding.
Solution: If this is required, first disconnect the 24V power supply and only connect the signal line to read the code. Then connect the 24V power supply and write to the 206 chip; the writing should then proceed normally.
6. The infrared beam smoke detector occasionally reports a failure.
Fault phenomenon: The detector intermittently reports a failure.
Troubleshooting: After investigation, it was found that the installation position of the detector reflector and the debugging process were normal. The detector was installed in a skylight environment. When the external light was too strong, it affected the detector's optical path signal. By assigning address code to the detector, the sensitivity of the detector was reduced, and the false alarm problem was solved.
