DESCRIPTION

Conventional Maintenance Switch For Any brand Conventional Fire Alarm System
This MAINTENANCE panel is a key switch, which disconnects actuation circuits in the system to prevent accidental discharge during maintenance operations.
Two “LEDS” indicate “SYSTEM ARMED” and “SYSTEM INACTIVE”. When the key is inserted and turned towards “SYSTEM INACTIVE”, the red LED illuminates and the green LED indicating “SYSTEM ARMED” turns off. The key can only be removed in the “SYSTEM ARMED” position.
This panel is also available with the key removable in both the “ARMED” and the “INACTIVE” positions.
The information is silk-screened on a two-gang stainless plate.

Switch rated at 5A 250VAC, the DC rating is 5A up to 30VDC.
LEDS rated at 10mA each for a total current draw of 20mA.
conventional fire alarm system maintenance

The Maintenance Switch of the fire alarm system is a key safety control component used for safety isolation, temporary shielding, testing and maintenance. Its core function is to prevent false alarms and false activation of fire extinguishing devices during maintenance, while ensuring that the system can be supervised.
Definition: A dedicated switch with a key, used to temporarily place the alarm/fire extinguishing circuit in maintenance/repair/testing mode, cut off the linkage output, and shield the alarm signal.
core purpose
When repairing detectors, hand alarms, modules, and circuits, avoid accidentally triggering sound and light alarms, fire broadcasts, and sprinkler/gas fire extinguishing.
During system testing, simulated fire alarms, and linkage tests, controllable triggering without affecting the actual fire extinguishing function.
Prevent unauthorized personnel from shutting down the system at will, in compliance with fire safety standards such as UL864 and BS 5839.
Operation process (standardized steps)
prepare
Confirm that there are no fire hazards in the maintenance area and arrange on-site monitoring.
Record and maintain the circuit, start and end times, reasons, and register the host for record keeping.
Notify the fire control room/monitoring center and report the maintenance status.
Entering into maintenance
Insert the key, go to Maintenance/Test, the red light is on, and the host reports supervision.
Confirm that the corresponding circuit shielding is effective and there is no linkage output.
Maintenance/Testing
Perform equipment replacement, cleaning, circuit testing, and simulate fire alarms.
After the test is completed, reset/exit the test to confirm that the signal is normal.
return to normal
Maintenance is completed, the key is turned back to Normal, the green light is on, and the monitoring status is cleared.
Conduct a comprehensive inspection of the system to confirm that there is no shielding, no malfunction, and normal linkage.
Record the recovery time and cancel the reporting.
